To provide a pneumatic tire effectively using rubber powder recycled from a scrap tire for a base rubber of a tread part.
In the pneumatic tire, both end parts of carcass ply are folded and locked to a pair of right and left bead cores respectively, and at least two layers of a belt ply is disposed between the outside of the carcass ply and a tread part. The tread part is composed of a base rubber disposed adjacently to the belt ply and two layers of cap rubber disposed on the outside. The base rubber contains rubber powder of not less than 2 pts. mass and under 15 pts. mass with respect to a rubber component 100 pts. wt. The average grain diameter of the rubber powder is 0.4mm or less and the maximum grain diameter is 0.8mm or less. The grain size distribution is that the rubber powder of the grain diameter of 0.5mm or less makes up not less than 85 pts. mass of the whole of the rubber powder.
