To provide a pneumatic tire enhanced in the durability of a bead by suppressing the drawing and removal of a carcass ply by forming an appropriate bead structure.
The pneumatic tire is provided with a pair of beads 2 (in the figure, only one bead 2 is shown) in which a main bead core 1 is buried; a pair of side walls extending from the bead 2 to an outer side in a tire radial direction; a body 3 troidally extending over respective parts of the tread straddling and extending between both side walls; and a carcass ply 5 having a fold-back part 4 folded back from an inner side in a tire width direction along the periphery of the main bead core 1 to an outer side in a tire width direction. Further, a sub-bead core 6 is buried at an outer side in the tire radial direction of the main bead core 1 in the bead 2, and the fold-back part 4 of the carcass ply 5 passes through an outer position in the tire width direction of the main bead core 1 along the periphery of the main bead core 1 and passes between the main bead core 1 and the sub-bead core 6. Subsequently, the fold-back part passes between the body 3 of the carcass ply 5 and the sub-bead core 6 along the periphery of the sub-bead core 6.
