Abstract:
To provide a pneumatic tire superior in load hazard-resistance and capable of also attaining reduced weight.
The pneumatic tire is provided with a pair of left and right bead parts 1; and a carcass ply 4 extending from a crown part to both bead parts 1 via both side parts. The carcass ply 4 comprises a cord layer, and the carcass ply cord including at least 65 mass% or more of polyketone fiber and has tensile strength as the cord taken out from the tire of 8 cN/dtex or higher. The carcass ply 4 includes weft yarn crossing to the cord arranged in an approximately radial direction, and the weft yarn is cut at a plurality of positions in a tire circumferential direction with an approximately constant interval.
