A land 15 divided by the circumferential-direction grooves is formed with the lug grooves 20 each of which comprises a lateral groove 21 extending to the tire-width direction with one end opening on the circumferential-direction groove side and the other end communicating with a sub groove 12 provided for the land 15, and an inclining groove 22 extending to cross to the tire-width direction and to the tire circumferential direction with one end communicating with the sub groove 12 and the other end terminating in the land 15. The lateral groove 21 of the lug groove 20 has a projection 23 projecting from a bottom of the lug groove 20 to a tread surface side with its height h lower than height H of the land 15 measured from the bottom of the lug groove 20.
