Abstract:
To rapidly improve on-ice performance by optimizing a tread pattern.
This pneumatic tire includes a small block group GBconstituted by mutually and densely arranging a plurality of independent small blocks 3 in a tread part 1. When a reference pitch length of the small block 3 is PL (mm), a width of the small block group GBis W (mm), the number of the small blocks 3 existing in a reference region of the small block group GBsectioned by the reference pitch length PL and the width W is a (piece) and a negative ratio in the reference region is N(%), small block number concentration D per unit actually grounding area of the small block group GBgiven by a/(PL×W×(1-N/100)) is in the range of 0.003 (piece/mm2) to 0.04 (piece/mm2). Each of the small blocks 3 has a star-like polygonal shape in a tread step surface and is mutually and jointly formed.
