Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire whose run-flat durability performance, steering stability, and riding comfort are improved without deteriorating rolling resistance.SOLUTION: Inside and outside directions of a vehicle when a tire is attached to the vehicle are designated, and a reinforcement rubber layer 10 having a roughly crescent shape on a meridian cross section is arranged on sidewall parts 4 on both sides in a tire width direction. In an unloaded condition in which a normal rim is mounted to and an internal pressure is set to be 0 kPa, when a straight line Lc orthogonal to a tire equatorial surface CL at a tire maximum width part on the meridian cross section, a straight line La inclining by 10° to the outside in a tire radial direction with respect to the straight line Lc from an intersection with the tire equatorial surface, and a straight line Lb inclining by 10° to the inside in the tire radial direction are drawn, a relation between the curvature radius of a circular arc connecting intersections between each straight line and a tire outer contour and the curvature radius of a circular arc connecting intersections between each straight line and a carcass layer 6 is as follows: the curvature radius of the carcass layer with respect to the curvature radius of the tire outer contour is supposed to be larger on the outside of the vehicle, and the curvature radius of the carcass layer with respect to the curvature radius of the tire outer contour is supposed to be smaller on the inside of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
