Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the progress of belt edge separation in a pneumatic tire using a steel cord of (n+1) structure for a belt ply.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire comprises a belt ply using a flat steel cord (10) comprising a main filament bundle (13) made by aligning in a row, 3 or more of a main filament (12) without twisting, and a lapping filament (14) wound around the main filament bundle. In the steel cord, a minimum value of a drawing force when drawing inner one main filament (12a) of plural main filaments composing the main filament bundle from the steel cord is 3.00 to 6.50 N, and the ratio (Fmin/Fmax) of the minimum value (Fmin) of the drawing force when drawing one main filament (12a) from the steel cord to the maximum value (Fmax) thereof is 0.40 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
