Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire 2 having a rim protector 42 capable of sufficiently exerting the function thereof and achieving improvement of rigidity while suppressing mass increase.SOLUTION: The side piece 40 of a pneumatic tire 2 is equipped with a rim protector 42. A bob profile representing a profile of the rim protector 42 comprises a first arc extending outward from the apex PT of the rim protector 42, and a second arc extending inward from the apex PT. The center of the first arc is located inside the bob profile and that of the second arc is located outside the bob profile. The side piece 40 includes a side apex 22 crossing with the normal line LT of a carcass 12 passing through the apex PT.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
