Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve driving stability by increasing lateral stiffness while suppressing increase in longitudinal stiffness.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire T comprising a carcass ply 4 extending over a pair of bead portions 3 is provided in which the carcass ply 4 comprises a first carcass ply 41 and a second carcass ply 42 arranged on the outer surface side thereof. The first carcass ply 41 has in a side wall part 2 a first inclined area 41C arranged along a direction in which a carcass cord 41D is inclined with respect to a meridian direction MD, and the second carcass ply 42 has in the side wall part 2 a second inclined area 42C arranged along a direction in which a carcass cord 42D is inclined with respect to the meridian direction MD. The first inclined area 41C and the second inclined area 42C overlap in the side wall part 2 so that the inclined carcass cord 41D and the inclined carcass cord 42D intersect each other. The hardness of the topping rubber of the second carcass ply 42 is greater than that of the topping rubber of the first carcass ply 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
