Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which can achieve weight reduction while securing damage resistance.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire includes: a carcass layer 4 extending from a tread part 3 and reaching a bead part 1 through a side wall part 2; tread rubber 5 forming an outer surface of the tread part 3; side wall rubber 7 forming an outer surface of the side wall part 2; and rim strip rubber 8 forming an outer surface of the bead part 1. The carcass layer 4 is formed by one carcass ply wound up at the bead part 1. A winding end 4E of the carcass layer 4 reaches a belt layer 10 embedded in the tread part 3. The rim strip rubber 8 extends in a tire radial direction between the carcass layer 4 and the side wall rubber 7. An upper end 8E of the rim strip rubber 8 is disposed at the outer side of the tread rubber 5 in a tire width direction and terminates without reaching an outer peripheral surface of the tread rubber 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
