Title:
PNEUMATIC TIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3145902
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the weight without impairing the required characteristics by forming a breaker and the cord of cover plies of the non-metallic material and the low thermal contracting or non-thermal contracting material respectively, and guaranteeing, but not exceeding the prescribed value of the elongation in the manufacturing process of the tire.
CONSTITUTION: A breaker 4 is arranged between a carcass 2 and a tread rubber 3 of the radial orientation fixed to a bead part 1, a cover ply 5 to cover this is provided, and the breaker 4 is provided with the cut breaker ply having the parallel cords across the equatorial plane of the tire. The cord of the breaker 4 is formed of the non-metallic material, and the cord of the cover ply 5 is formed of the low thermal contracting or non-thermal contracting material respectively. Elongation of the tire in the tire manufacturing process is guaranteed through the selection of the material of only the cover ply 5, its constitution and application, or through the constitution of the cord, and substantially impedes further elongation. The inexpensive and lightweight tire to satisfy all characteristics required for the modern tire is obtained.
