PURPOSE: To prevent heel and toe abrasion, in a tire on which blocks are formed by peripheral and lateral grooves, by providing narrow grooves in the peripheral direction ends in the vicinity of lateral grooves of tread end blocks, and displacing the deepest parts thereof from opening edges to the peripheral direction central sides of the blocks by specified distances.

CONSTITUTION: Blocks 8a, 8f positioned on tread end parts 9, 10 are provided with narrow grooves 11, 12 formed in parallel with lateral grooves 7a, 7f respectively on both peripheral directional end parts in the vicinity of the respective lateral grooves 7a, 7f. These narrow grooves 11, 12 are arranged between a point A, which is 0.05 times the peripheral length L of the block 8 apart from open edge of the lateral groove 7, and a point B which is 0.20 times the same length L apart therefrom, and the deepest part H of each narrow groove is displaced by more than 0.05 times the same length L toward the peripheral directional central side of the block 8. This constitution prevents heel and toe abrasion.
