Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce a pitch noise without losing the operation stability by forming an irregular lengthwise groove curved along the rotating direction on the tread part of a tire and positioning the relative surface of a pair of ribs holding this lengthwise groove on the same R. CONSTITUTION:An irregular lengthwise groove 1 curved along the rotating direction is provided on a tire. A plural number of ribs 2 facing each other with the lengthwise groove 1 in-between are respectively arranged on a side face A of the projected side edge part and a side face B of the recessed side edge part on the same R. On the other hand, a tire manufacturing metal mold set with an angled made by the formation curvature at the projection side edge part of the tread formation face 11 and the standard external diameter line R of the metal mold within the limit of 0.2-0.5. At this time, if the angle alphais made less than 0.2, the side face A of the projection side edge part protrudes from the tire tread surface and generate a pitch noise. Further, if the angle alpha is made more than 0.5, the side face A of the projected side edge part sinks lower than the tire tread face and generate a noise.
