This point device having a fish tail-type locking device for directly locking a tongue rail and a basic rail with a locking member after the switching of the tongue rail, comprises a movable cam operating the locking member and moving a pair of tongue rails, an operation rod connected to the movable cam for operating the same, a pair of locking rods connected to the pair of tongue rails, a driving rod being moved through a ball screw rotated by a motor and a ball screw nut engaged with the ball screw, and a locking mechanism and for locking one of the operation rod and the pair of locking rods by a lock piece coming in and out by the predetermined movement of the driving rod.
