PURPOSE: To provide a mounting/removing device whereby a point end tool can be mounted/removed, surely held without loosening further at work time and easily removed at exchange time, without using an exclusive use tool, relating to the point end tool mounting/removing device for a power tool.
CONSTITUTION: A peripheral diameter of an engaging surface 11 with a point end tool 6 of a fixed member 8 and a supporting surface diameter of a supporting surf ace 29 for supporting the fixed member 8, formed in a drive shaft 3, are formed in a different diameter, and at least the diameter of the supporting surface 29 is formed smaller than the peripheral diameter of the engaging surface 11, so as to generate a difference in friction torque of each contact surface between both the diameter parts. Also in the vicinity of the fixed member 8, a clutch mechanism 18 is arranged, so that a tool of smaller contact surface friction torque can be selected, when the point end tool is released, and the point end tool 6 can be released by only manual operation.
