Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing device having high operability and portability.SOLUTION: In a pointing device, an input unit 150 in which at least input buttons 161 and 162 are arranged on a predetermined surface is connected to a main body unit 110 including at least a movement detection part for detecting a moving direction and a moving amount or a battery in a rotatable or slidable state, and the input unit 150 is allowed to rotate or slide with respect to the main body unit 110 so that at least two configurations, that is, a first configuration and a second configuration can be set. In the second configuration, the input unit 150 is protruded to the front part of the main body unit 110 in a state that the input buttons 161 and 162 are faced upward. Under an idea that situations where portability and operability are required are different from each other, it is possible to set two configurations in accordance with those situations.
