Abstract:
To provide a pointing machine which can change interval between cutting tools without causing chip biting due to cutting a wire.SOLUTION: A spindle 2, which is rotatable around a central axis, is provided. A cutter holder 5 is fixed to an end of the spindle 2. A cutting tool 4 is held by the cutter holder 5. The spindle 2 is rotated, and pointing of a tip of a wire is performed by the cutting tool 4. The cutting tool 4 is so held by the cutter holder 5 as to be movable in a radial direction. A pulley 6 for opening/closing the cutting tool, which is adjacent to the cutter holder 5, is provided. The pulley 6 for opening/closing the cutting tool is rotated at a rotational speed equal to that of the spindle 2. The pulley 6 for opening/closing the cutting tool is so made as to be freely rotational displacing with respect to the spindle 2. A cam groove 7 is formed on the pulley 6 for opening/closing the cutting tool. A contact piece 8, which is integral with the cutting tool 4, is guided in the radial direction by the cam groove 7. The pulley 6 for opening/closing the cutting tool is rotationally displaced, thereby moving the cutting tool 4 in the radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
