Abstract:
PURPOSE:To check the polarity of the coil automatically by impressing an AC signal to a detection coil and inducing a voltage across a coil to be tested and comparing its phase with the terminal voltage across the detection coil. CONSTITUTION:When the polarity of a target coil 1 is normal, its terminal voltage (d) is an AC signal in phase with the terminal voltage (a) across the detection coil 3. Consequently, a comparator(CP) 2 generates a signal of '1' and '0', which is in phase with (c) of a CP 1, at (e). The waveform of the CP 2, however, has its center voltage 5V compared with the voltage (d) of the coil 1, so e voltage rises slightly before the output (c) of the CP 1 rises. The data input of a D type flip-flop M1, therefore, rises earlier than the clock input and '1' appears continuously at (f) as its output Q. Consequently, '1' is obtained at (i) of a CP3 and a TR1 turns ON to turn ON a relay R. When the target coil is not corrected or when the polarity is opposite, the relay R is turned OFF. Thus, whether or not the polarity is normal is grasped from the operation state of the relay R.
