Abstract:

To properly control the polarity of an output voltage of a thermoelectric element.

A fifth transistor M5 to an eighth transistor M8 are N-channel FETs, and are provided in parallel to a first transistor M1 to a fourth transistor M4. A comparison circuit 102 receives, by its power-supply terminal, an output voltage VDD of a step-up circuit of the subsequent stage. The comparison circuit 102 (i) outputs a low-level voltage to gates of the fifth transistor M5 and the eighth transistor M8 and outputs a high-level voltage to gates of the sixth transistor M6 and the seventh transistor M7 when a potential V1 of a first input line L1 is higher than a potential V2 of a second input line L2; and (ii) outputs the high-level voltage to the gates of the fifth transistor M5 and the eighth transistor M8 and outputs the low-level voltage to the gates of the sixth transistor M6 and the seventh transistor M7 when the potential V2 of the second input line L2 is higher than the potential V1 of the first input line L1.
