To impart polarity to a low-polar resin, particularly polyolefin and improve hydrophilic property, antistatic property, anti-fogging property, dyeing property of polyolefin and writing property and printability of polyolefin by water-based ink.
This invention relates to a polarity-imparting agent for polyolefin, capable of imparting polarity, namely hydrophilic property, antistatic property, antifogging property and dyeing property and writing property and printability by water-based ink to a polyolefin which is a low-polar resin and an polyolefin polarized by the polarity-imparting agent. The polarity-imparting agent comprises a copolymer having a 10-16C α-olefin and an unsaturated amide as units. Thereby, a surface contact angle of the polyolefin is remarkably lowered and the polyolefin is favorably polarized so as to enable writing by commercial water-based ink.
