Abstract:
To provide a polarizer improving adhesion between a polarizing element and a transparent protective film layer, improving durability and water resistance, and having an adhesive layer; to provide a method for manufacturing the same, an optical film, and an image display device.
This polarizer includes the transparent protective film at least on one surface of the polarizing element via the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is formed from a hardened material layer that is formed by applying an activation energy ray to an activation energy ray-curable resin composition including (A) radical polymerizable compound, (B) photo radical generator, and (C) photoacid generator, and Tg of the adhesive layer is defined to 60°C or more.
