Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light alignment device and a light alignment method capable of suppressing a temperature rise in a polarizer at light alignment to prevent the polarizer from deteriorating.SOLUTION: A polarizer used for light alignment has a plurality of thin wires arranged in parallel, transmits polarized light in a direction normal to the thin wires and shields polarized light in a direction parallel to the thin wires by reflection or absorption. The polarizer is configured to include, on a transparent substrate: a polarization pattern having a plurality of thin wires arranged in parallel; and a heat conduction pattern having a heat conductive structure with a larger volume than the thin wires.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
