Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate hardly causing red discoloration under a heat resistance test even in the case that a polarizer has a small thickness, and a polarizer preferably applied to obtain such polarizing plate.SOLUTION: A polarizing plate includes a polarizer having the thickness of 10 μm or less, and has a radio A/Abetween an absorbance Aat a wavelength 700 nm and an absorbance Aat a wavelength 450 nm that is 0.85 or greater. The polarizer has: the thickness of 10 μm or less; and the absolute value of a difference between the absorbance Aat the wavelength 700 nm and the absorbance Aat the wavelength 450 nm that is 0.11 or less when having been heat-treated for 30 minutes at 100°C.
