Abstract:

To highly productively provide a polarizer protection film which is high in optical transparancy, excellent in mechanical strength and productivity, excellent in adhesion to a polarizer formed of polyvinyl alcohol resin, and is especially applicable to a polarizing plate excellent in polarization characteristic, to provide a polarizing plate with fewer appearance defects productively which uses the polarizer protection film and the polarizer formed of the polivinyl alcohol resin, and to provide a high definition image display device which uses the polarizing plate.

The polarizer protection film has a (meta-)acrylic resin layer on one of the surfaces of a polyester resin layer.
