Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose ester film which causes no deterioration of the UV absorbing performance and the coloring even when exposed for a long time at a high temperature and high humidity.
SOLUTION: (1) In the cellulose ester film after left for 1,000 hours in the atmosphere of 80°C and humidity of 90%RH, the amount of change of transmittance at wavelength of 400 nm or less is <2% and the amount of change of a-value and b-value obtained from tristimulus values in a 10°visual field XYZ system according to the method of JIS Z 8729 under the standard light C specified by JIS Z 8720 is respectively <0.1 and <0.3. (2) The cellulose ester film said in the term (1) contains a benzotriazole type UV absorber and metal oxide of average grain size of 0.1 μm.
