Abstract:

To provide a polarizing plate with no problem brought about by saponification treatment and a method for manufacturing the same.

The polarizing plate comprising a polarizer which is provided with a transparent protective film on at least one surface thereof through an adhesive layer, is characterized by having a gelatinous coating layer deposited on a surface, to be stuck to the polarizer, of the transparent protective film.
