Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a norbornene-resin-containing polarizing plate protective film that, when stuck onto a polarizer to make a polarizing plate, does not easily crack even when subjected to heat cycle testing and that makes it possible to achieve a polarizing plate that, when the polarizing plate protective film is stuck onto a polarizer to make a polarizing plate and the polarizing plate is stuck onto a glass substrate, does not easily peel away from the glass substrate in high-temperature environments. The present invention also addresses the problem of providing a production method for such a polarizing plate protective film. This polarizing plate protective film contains a norbornene resin and is characterized in that the norbornene resin is a hydrogenated norbornene resin and contains a polymerizable compound that has a specific chemical structure.
