Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate excellent in heat resistance, which comprises a polarizer made of a polyvinyl alcohol resin with a dichroic dye adsorbed and oriented therein, and a protective film made of a transparent resin bonded to the polarizer with an adhesive.SOLUTION: When a protective film made of a transparent resin is bonded with an adhesive to a polarizer made of a polyvinyl alcohol resin in which a dichroic dye is adsorbed and oriented, the adhesive used is prepared from a photocurable composition comprising a photocurable component containing a compound having a cationic polymerizable functional group, a photo-cation polymerization initiator, and a thermal base generator. The photocurable composition contains the thermal base generator by 0.01 to 20 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the photocurable component.
