Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pole plate drying device for a secondary battery and a pole plate drying method in which a quite high drying effect for the pole plate by a few consumption power and short drying time can be attained and a discharging amount of carbon dioxide is less.SOLUTION: A pole plate drying device for a secondary battery includes a pressure reducing chamber 1. The pressure reducing chamber 1 has a pole plate and a heating unit 2 in it and a ventilation valve 11 is installed outside of it. A vacuum pump 3 is connected to the pressure reducing chamber 1. The pole plate to be dried is installed in the pressure reducing chamber 1, the heating unit 2 installed in the pressure reducing chamber 1 is turned on to perform a heating operation and at the same time the vacuum pump 3 connected to the pressure reducing chamber 1 is turned on to perform vacuum discharging at the pressure reducing chamber 1, the pressure is adjusted by the ventilation valve 11 on the pressure reducing chamber 1, a boiling temperature of water is also decreased as the pressure is reduced, so that an inner pressure in the pressure reducing chamber 1 is decreased due to vacuum discharging of the vacuum pump 3 and along with this state, a boiling point of water on the pole plate is lowered and the pole plate is dried.
