To provide scissors for a high branch with which any branch can be cut and held regardless of the thickness of the branch even at the base side (the vicinity of a pivot shaft) of a scissors part increased in cutting power and holding power.

The scissors for a high branch have the following parts: scissors parts each comprising a fixed blade and a movable blade body pivotally joined to the tip part of an expandable stick body; an operation part operating the movable blade body; a fixed branch bearing part 41 provided at the side face of a fixed blade body 21 along the curved blade edge of the fixed blade body; a movable branch nipping part 42 provided with a branch nipping face 43 to the fixed branch receiving part at the movable blade body 22 and turnably mounted on the movable blade body while pivotally joined 45 at the blade tip part; and a spring 44 resistively energizing against the circular movement of the branch nipping face going away from the fixed branch receiving part.
