PURPOSE: To efficiently perform removal polishing or cleaning an old coating in repainting an outside plate for a vehicle or the like, by providing a pressing means of pressing a moving frame so that a copying member is suitably brought into contact with the outside plate for the vehicle or the like.

CONSTITUTION: Copying rollers 23, serving as a copying member rolled on a vehicle outside plate B at polishing time to give press reaction force to a moving frame 2, are provided in a front frame unit 12. This copying roller 23 comprises driven rollers 23a, 23b vertically separated by a length of a polishing brush 4 and a leading roller and detecting roller 26 equally mounted in a length center position of the polishing brush 4. The driven rollers 23a, 23b and the leading roller are protruded toward a side of the vehicle outside plate B a little shorter than a protruding length of the polishing brush 4 when contactlessly rotated. These three points are brought into contact with the vehicle outside plate B to determine its tilt, also to perform tilting the moving frame 2 with this reaction force copying the tilt. In this way, the polishing brush 4 uniformly touches the vehicle outside plate B.
