Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect window panes and the like from being polished.
SOLUTION: A polishing apparatus 1 is pressed against an outer board of a vehicle, then a retaining member 2 for retaining the apparatus 1 is relatively moved to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a sensor 4 informs preliminarily the start and end of polishing to windows prior to movement of the apparatus 1. According to the information, a shielding board 5 is moved forward and rearward between upper and lower ends of window and the apparatus 1 is covered therewith. The round part formed at a corner of the board 5 corresponds to the roundness of the window, thereby protecting the window from being damaged.
