Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform polishing of a ceramics member in a complicated shape at a low cost and to smooth the surface state of the ceramics member by using polishing grains and barrel stone as polishing media through combination thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A light barrel stone and micropolishing grains, such as diamond and B4C, are combined together to produce polishing media. A ceramics member is charged in the polishing media, the polishing media is rotated or vibrated from the outside, and an adhered substance is removed. This method completely removes a substance stack on the surface of the ceramics member, having high corrosion resistance and formed in a complicated shape, at a low cost and smoothes the surface state of the ceramics member.
