To provide a polishing pad and a removing method of stain on a glass surface using the pad which can surely remove stain (glass-like products, inorganic and organic extraneous matter) firmly stuck to the surface of ceramic raw material such as glass or porcelain enamel, especially scaly substances on the surface of soda-lime silica glass raw material without damaging the raw material with stability for a long period, without giving disadvantage to environmental aspects such as waste liquid disposal or the like.
In the polishing pad, a polishing paint composed by dispersing abrasive grains into a vinyl acetate resin emulsion and/or an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin emulsion is applied on the surface of the substrate having elasticity made of either one of nature and synthetic fiber or a composite of nature or synthetic fiber, and dried.
