To provide a polishing tool using clay state polishing member which can use to the rotational polishing by a mechanical means, in the polishing tool used for polish-removing an iron powder from a painted surface, before the wax finish process of the painted surface of an automobile.

This polishing tool is composed of a ring shape elastic member 3 stuck to the surface of a substrate 1 provided the installation member 2, for installing to a polishing machine on the bottom side and a clay state poishing member 4 inserted in the central recessed part, 3b of the ring shape elastic member 3 and installed attachably/detachable on the surface of the substrate 1. An adhesion member layer 5 is provided on the surface of the substrate 1 on the position of the central recessed part 3b of the ring shape elastic member 3 or plural needle shape members are projected and the clay state polishing member 4 inserted on the central recessed part, 3b is made attatchably/detachably on the surface of the substrate 1.
