Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polluted air purifying device capable of effectively removing gaseous carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide, dust and the like at low cost.
SOLUTION: A vessel 1 houses a soil layer 4, in which microorganism is capable of propagating and air is movable, and an activated carbon layer 6, in which air is movable, above the soil layer 4. A polluted air is passed through the soil layer 4 and the activated carbon layer 6 by an air pump 11, a flow rate controller 12 and an air feed pipe 13, and a water feed pipe 23 for supplying water to the soil layer 4 is arranged above the soil layer 4. The polluted air discharged from the air feed pipe 13 flows upward in the vessel 1, dust contained in the polluted air is stuck to soil and the like, mainly gaseous carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide are decomposed by the microorganism in the soil in the soil layer 4 and the nitrogen oxide remaining without being treated in the soil layer 4 is adsorbed by the activated carbon in the activated carbon layer 6.
