Abstract:
To provide a lightweight polyacrylonitrile (PAN) based carbon fiber sheet without occupying much space, having high strength when used or processed and preventing resin bleeding to the back surface when treating only one surface during resin treatment such as water repellent treatment.
This PAN based carbon fiber sheet 2 comprises a PAN based carbon opened fiber material 4 prepared by opening along the fiber axis, PAN based carbon fiber nonwoven fabrics or webs 6 and 8 laminated onto one or both surfaces of the opened fiber material 4 and the interlaced carbon fibers 10 obtained by interlacing the fibers of the opened fiber material 4 with the nonwoven fabrics or the webs 6 and 8 in the thickness direction.
