Abstract:
To obtain a film especially suitable as a synthetic casing for sausage.
This polymer blend has a cohesive phase produced from an aliphatic and/or semiaromatic (co)polymer and a phase which is dispersed in the cohesive phase and produced from an olefin block copolymer grafted with an intramolecular carboxylic acid anhydride. The olefin block copolymer is preferably constituted of a PP block and an EPM block and, if required, comprises an EBM block. A flat or tubular film comprising at least one layer constituted of the polymer blend or produced from the polymer blend is disclosed. The film is preferably orientated uniaxially or diaxially and, if required, heat set.
