PURPOSE: To improve the impact resistance, strength, etc., by using an aliphatic polyamide, a polyglutaramide containing residual acid and anhydride groups, and a specified impact modifier as the constituents.
CONSTITUTION: An aliphatic polyamide (A) (e.g. polycaprolactam) in an amount of 50-85 pts.wt. is blended with 5-25 pts.wt. polyglutaramide (B) containing residual acid and anhydride groups [e.g. (N-hydrogen)dimethylglutaramide], 10-30 pts.wt. impact modifier (C) comprising a core/shell polymer whose core consists mainly of butadiene or an alkyl acrylate and 0.05-5 wt.% polyunsaturated monomer and whose shell comprises an aromatic vinyl or (cyclo)alkyl methacrylate, and if necessary, 0.01-1.5 pts.wt. linear copolymer (D) so that the total is 100 pts.wt.
