Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamino acid composition excellent in moisture- absorbent and dissipating properties and moreover having swelling properties, which composition can impart a hand (touch) close to that of natural materials to a synthetic resin composition, synthetic resin film, fiber, nonwoven fabric or fabric, coating or adhesive when mixed therewith.
SOLUTION: The composition contains a polyamino acid having a tyrosin content of 4.0 or less per 1,000 residues of the amino acid. It contains a polyamino acid having a weight average molecular weight of 1,000-50,000. It contains a polyamino acid insolubilized in water by crosslinking a water-soluble polyamino acid at 23°C. It is a composition comprising a polyamino acid, and has a water absorption of 2.0-30 and a bulk specific gravity of 0.4-2.0 g/ml. It contains a polyamino acid, and has an iron content of 500 ppm or less. It contains a polyamino acid, and has a calcium content of 1% or less. The synthetic resin composition, synthetic resin film, fiber, nonwoven fabric or fabric, coating and adhesive contain the polyamino acid composition.
