PURPOSE: To obtain the subject polyarylene sulfide having respective specific melt flow rate and melt viscosity, exhibiting excellent moisture resistance, thermal stability and mechanical properties and useful for injection molding, sealing, etc.

CONSTITUTION: This polyarylene sulfide has a melt flow rate of ≥600g/10min at 316°C and a melt viscosity increasing degree of 4.0-12.0 caused by the kneading at 320°C for 5min in a state mixed with 1.0wt.% (based on the polyarylene sulfide) of γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane. A resin composition is produced by using this polyarylene sulfide, a silane compound having epoxy group and a filler as essential components.
