To provide a polybutylene terephthalate chip which reduces the blocking of transfer piping of a compound with the chip at the time of injection molding, stabilizes the bite-in to a screw and also stabilizes the physical properties of an injection-molded product, and a piping transport method therefor.
The polybutylene terephthalate chip is obtained by cutting a strand comprising polybutylene terephthalate extruded from a molding die and characterized in that (1) the weight M(g) of 100 granular chips is 1.5≤(M)≤3.0, (2) the ratio of melting type chips is 700 ppm or below as the number of chips, (3) the ratio of obliquely cut chips, of which the cutting surfaces have an angle of 60° or below, is 2% or below as the number of chips and (4) the ratio of chips having a thickness or length of 5 mm or above is 500 ppm or below as the number of chips.
