Abstract:

To provide a polycarbonate copolymer which, less in the nitrogen introduced in the molecular terminals and in the terminal chloroformate groups, has excellent electrical characteristics when used as a material for an electrophotographic photoreceptor, as well as to provide the electrophotographic photoreceptor using this.

The polycarbonate copolymer has the structural units of at least two kinds selected from specific structural units, a viscosity average mol.wt. of 5,000-100,000, 10 ppm or less regarding the amount of the nitrogen introduced into the molecular terminals, and 0.1 μeq/g or less regarding the amount of the chloroformate groups in the molecular terminals.
