Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycarboxylic acid resin which can be easily dried on preliminary heat drying to exhibit an improvement on tack-freeness, excels in photocurability and developability with an alkali aqueous solution and, simultaneously, excel in physical properties of a material after curing such as mechanical properties, heat resistance, solvent resistance, adhesion, and flexibility, a polycarboxylic acid resin composition, and its cured product.
SOLUTION: The polycarboxylic acid resin can be obtained by reacting an epoxy resin (a) having two glycidyl groups with, for example, itaconic acid (b) and an ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid (c) to obtain a straight chain addition polymerization product (A), and reacting the above straight chain addition polymerization product (A) with a polybasic acid anhydride (d).
