To provide a polyester-based film for coating a metal sheet in which the part to be laminated to a metal sheet is broad, the material loss is little, and the film is hardly broken, and further to provide a polyester-based film-coated metal sheet capable of drawing and ironing processing under a high speed and a high processing degree and having an excellent can making properties.
The polyester-based film for a coating metal sheet having a 0.1 μm or lower surface roughness (Ra) and a 1.360 g/cm3 or lower density is obtained by solidifying a molten resin film of a polyester-based resin composition, obtained by mixing a crystalline polyester having a 180 °C or higher melting point and an olefinic polymer having functional groups in 200-2,000 equivalents/ton and having a 0.25-2.0 μm equivalent spherical diameter in a wt.% ratio of 70/30-99/1, on a cooling roll having a 0.2 μm or higher and lower than 4.0 μm surface roughness (Ra), and by uniaxially stretching it. And further the polyester-based film-coated metal sheet is obtained by coating the film on a metal sheet.
