Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester bottle excellent in moldability, transparency, mechanical properties and heat resistance by forming the whole or a part of the bottle from a thermoplastic polyester containing a swellable layered silicate.
SOLUTION: This bottle is obtained by injection-molding a polyester resin composition prepared by mixing a thermoplastic polyester resin having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5-2.0 with 0.01-60wt.% swellable layered sillicate, desirably swellable fluoromica mineral into a preform and subjecting this preform to biaxial stretching and blow molding to form the whole or a part of the bottle.
