Abstract:
To provide a polyester film for insert molding which is excellent in moldability at the time of heat molding and gives a molded item exhibiting excellent rigidity and shape stability (heat shrinkage characteristics and thickness unevenness) when used in an ordinary temperature atmosphere and being improved in finish properties.
The polyester film for insert molding comprises a copolyester composed of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component and a glycol component comprising ethylene glycol, and a branched aliphatic glycol and/or an alicyclic glycol, where the film has stress at 100% elongation, each in the longitudinal direction and in the width direction, of 180-1,000 MPa at 25°C and 1-100 MPa at 100°C and a melting point of 220-245°C.
