To provide a polyester monofilament excellent in hydrolysis resistance, having an extremely good abrasion resistance as compared with those of conventional polyester mono-filaments and suitable as a constituting raw material of a woven fabric for industrial use, and the woven fabric for industrial use by using the same.
This monofilament consists of a polyester composition containing (C) 1-15 pts.wt. inorganic particles having 0.2-1.0 μm mean particle diameter and ≤2.5 particle size distribution rate expressed by (d25/d75) [wherein, d25: the particle diameter at 25% of the whole volume from a large particle diameter side in an accumulation distribution based on the volume criteria of the particles, and d75: the particle diameter at 75% of the whole volume from a large particle diameter side in the accumulation distribution based on the volume criteria of the particles] based on the total of 100 pts.wt. of (A) 80-99.5 wt.% polyester and (B) 0.5-20 wt.% at least 1 kind of a thermoplastic resin selected from a styrene-based polymer, an olefin-based polymer and a methacrylate-based polymer, and having ≤10 equivalent/106g terminal carboxyl group concentration.
