To provide a polyester resin composition for coating or a coating material which improves corrosion resistance, poor appearance after boiling water test, and the variation of fingerprinting resistance and, simultaneously, can obtain a coating film having excellent corrosion resistance and pressure marking resistance.

The polyester resin composition comprises (B) a polyester resin composed of 50-100 mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid and 0-50 mol% aliphatic and/or alicyclic dicarboxylic acid as the acid component and 5-100 mol% alkylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A and/or bisphenol F to be represented by formal (1) (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are each hydrogen or a methyl group; and m and n are each a number of ≥1 and, simultaneously, 2≤m+n≤8) and 0-95 mol% other polyols as the glycol component and/or (C) its modified product, and (D) a curing agent capable of reacting with these resins.
