Abstract:
To provide a polyester resin that has excellent adhesion to a metal, curability and storage stability and achieves good pigment dispersibility, heat stability and wet ink suitability at the same time.SOLUTION: The polyester resin is composed of a polyvalent carboxylic acid component and a glycol component. In the polyester resin, the polyvalent carboxylic acid component includes 70 mol% or more of a terephthalic acid component and/or an isophthalic acid component in total when the whole polyvalent carboxylic acid components are defined as 100 mol%; the average carbon number of the whole glycol components is 4.3 to 8.0; the glass transition temperature is 50°C or higher; the acid value is 5 mgKOH/g or more; the total amount of unreacted polycarboxylic acid components is 2,000 ppm or less; and the amount of a cyclic oligomer is 0.5 mass% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
